Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--2.8, 0.38; EcoRI--3.2; HindIII--3.2; AvaI--3.2; PstI--3.2. The BglI and PstI polymorphisms are in complete disequilibrium. The RFLPs are observed under normal hybridization and wash stringencies. p134C is linked to myotonic dystrophy (DM) with a LOD score in excess of 40 at theta = 0.006. It is distal to DM.
